New fiber boxes in Kouts, Hebron and Boone Grove

The new containers at the drop-off recycling sites are designed with limited access points to help prevent blowing and spills of paper and cardboard when emptied by the waste hauling trucks.

Some of new boxes feature long slit openings to accept flattened boxes, while others provide shorter slit openings for paper. The slits help to contain the material. All boxes have flip-up tops to drop in bundles too large to fit into the openings.

Boone Grove Compost Site, 546 South 400 West (Hwy. 8 to 400 West, head north to 550 South), will begin its regular season hours on Monday, April 23: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, noon–5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
